As a club we would like to take up a "global grant". After initial meeting with a partner club in Pune and members from my strategic committee ( including two future Prsidents), we attended a presentation on the " Water restoration in sub strata" with a new technique.

The roof top rain water harvesting is developed by an agency , who have specialized knowledge and have proven technology. 

To study the site available a team from the agency with our senior member Rtn Sudhir Darvekar, I visited the village ARVI, near Rajgad to see the viability.

The Global Grant project is discussed in detail. Theme of the project is decided to be "water conservation and rainwater harvesting for a village in Pune district ". Towns in  Rajgad Taluka are identified as Arvi, Kalyan and Ranze for collecting rainwater/ harvesting and putting up pipeline to release the water in borewells nearby.  This should bear fruits in next 3 to 5 years for water table rising and the self sufficiency  for the villages in future .

The details of the project were discussed and further details on estimates and other project report are awaited.
